Force, velocity, displacement. All three have a direction as well as a magnitude.

That force is a vector is the new fact added in this section. Displacement, velocity and acceleration were already identified as vectors back in chapter 2.

Distance, mass, time and speed are scalars — they carry a magnitude only. So any group containing one of them cannot be the answer.
