A nichrome coil of resistance 6 Ω is connected to a 3 V supply. What current flows through it? (Exercise 19.2, part 3)
The right answer is the one marked above.
0.5 A. I = V ÷ R = 3 ÷ 6 = 0.5 A.
2 A is what you get by dividing the wrong way round, 6 ÷ 3. Check which quantity the question gave you and which it wants before dividing.
