A wave has a frequency of 5 Hz and a wavelength of 2 m. What is its speed?

10 m s-1. v = f λ = 5 Hz × 2 m = 10 m s-1.

Adding the two numbers gives 7, and dividing them gives 2.5 or 0.4 — none of which the equation says to do.
