Lesson: Chapter 1 — Living Tissues

1.2.3. Muscle tissue 6 of 6

Question 6

A muscle tissue is seen to be branched, with one nucleus per cell. Which tissue is it?

The right answer is the one marked above.

Cardiac muscle. It is the only one of the three that is branched, and it is uninucleate. Two questions identify any of the three tissues.

Unbranched with many nuclei is skeletal. Unbranched with one nucleus and no striations is smooth. Branching and nuclei do the whole job.

Answer the question to continue.
