Where does the nucleus lie in a parenchyma cell, and why?

At the edge, pressed against the wall by the large central vacuole. The vacuole takes up most of the cell, leaving the cytoplasm and the nucleus as a thin layer round the outside.

Compare the meristematic cell, where a large nucleus fills most of a small cell because there is no big vacuole to displace it.
